Come along to the first open mic night at The Chequers, Hosted by Members of a local band "Last throw of the dice" we want to invite any budding musicians and singers to come down and join in. Alternatively you can come and support the local talent whilst proping up the bar.

On the 4th November 2011 the annual Whiston village quiz was hosted at the Manorial Barn. Ten of the villages best teams fought it out to be crowned the quiz champions. Having been victorious for the past two years the pressure was on for The Chequers home team, and after a nail biting finale team Czechslovakia brought the win home for the 3rd consecutive year.

We would like to give a big congratulations to the team members; Matt, Brian, Ian, Jim, Dave and Paul.
